From drawings on notebook paper to the family VHS camera, Bill Cornelius has been visually telling stories since he was old enough to hold a crayon. Having written and directed his first feature-length film at 16, his lifelong passion has led him into a number of roles with work ranging from narrative film, to music videos, to commercials. His work has appeared on CMT, PBS, FOX, GAC, and The Country Network and has earned him a number of accolades including four Telly Awards, two Gold Addy Awards from the American Advertising Federation, and an Emmy Award nomination for a commercial he directed for Random House author Brooks Benjamin.
Since 2005, Cornelius has owned and operated Halangarde Pictures, the independent production company he founded after graduating from the Watkins College of Art & Design.
In addition to the variety of projects produced by Halangarde, including a cartoon pilot and a web series, Cornelius continues to be involved in various productions in a wide range of capacities. He hopes to use the storytelling power of film and art to entertain and inspire audiences across the globe.
